How to play Letter Link

Read the aim of Letter Link, then make your first move. Find every target word from the six-letter bank. Look at what changes after your first action. Keep the instructions close while learning this activity. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Make words from two letter sets: PLANET and STREAM. Each set uses a selected list of accepted answers.

Build a steady rhythm

Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Keep the objective visible.

Your goal

Find every target word from the six-letter bank. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Check the rules when you are unsure.

Step by step

  1. Select letters in order, each tile once per word.
  2. Submit the word.
  3. Clear letters to retry.
  4. Find all displayed word lengths.

Controls

Tap letters and Submit word. Use the control method described here for this activity. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.

A useful example

PLANET makes PLANT, PLANE and PETAL. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Read the matching step again.

Watch out for this

Not every dictionary word is a target in this curated list. A different version of the game may use a different rule. When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round.
